IQ Food Co has an immediate opening for experienced Assistant Manager -Food Services (TEER 0: 60030) at our location in Toronto, Ontario.

As an Assistant Manager -Food Services (TEER 0 : 60030), you will perform some or all of the following duties:

o Assisting the General manager to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of IQ Food

o Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures

o Recruit staff and oversee staff training

o Assisting the General Manager w/ the procurement and inventory management of all food, beverage and other goods for use / sale in the restaurant

o Assisting the General Manager in hiring, training and managing a knowledgeable, efficient and personable team

o Ensuring their team exemplifies iQ’s brand values and shares our passion for health, wellness and delicious food

o Assisting the General Manager in creating a positive workplace and encouraging dialogue and communication amongst team members

o Assisting the General Manager in setting schedules for the team each week

o Ensuring all front of house areas are impeccably organized and clean at all times

o Taking ownership of all merchandizing efforts (following company directive to create a first-class merchandizing experience)

o Fluency with all of the Company’s back of house equipment (ovens, food processors, etc.), procedures and basic recipes

o Ensuring kitchen, fridges, freezers, food prep and equipment areas are impeccably organized, in good working order, and clean at all times

Education: College or other non-university certificate or diploma

Compensation: $19 – $22.75 / hr

Experience: 2 – 3 years

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time (40 hours/week)
